The Difference

  • Photo books have flexible paper pages. Photo albums have weighty board pages (1mm thick).

  • Photo books have a page count between 24 and 200. Photo albums have a page count between 24 and 64*.

  • Softcover & Classic Photo Books are PUR bound; Premium Photo Books are stitched. When open, pages lie near flat. Photo albums are flush-mounted and open to lay perfectly flat.

  • Hardcover Photo Books have linen or coated cloth fabric cover options, Softcovers consist of water varnished card. Photo albums have linen, coated cloth and leather cover options.

  • Photo books have 5 paper options. Photo albums have 4 paper options (which are then mounted onto board).

*Please note, for albums over 46 pages we will use a marginally thinner board (0.75mm compared to 1mm) to accommodate the higher page count.
