Very nice product

Great quality and easy to work through the website to build your book, but WAY too expensive for what it is. I’ll not order another one.

The website is extremely friendly to use and I would like to give this review of 4.5 star! The only reason for the deduction is once I received the physical book itself. The spine of my book seems very fragile, and I hesitate showing it to others because I don’t want to run the risk of breaking the spine, other than that the quality of the paper, the quality of the craftsmanship even with the box that it came with is 100%. I will definitely be purchasing books from here in the future

I created a large landscape photo book through Milk Books (via the Photos extension on Mac) as a gift for my wife’s 50th – a collection of photos, memories, and messages from family and friends. The finished book is absolutely beautiful. The materials, binding, and finish all feel truly premium, more like a handmade heirloom than a typical photo book. Delivery was also faster than expected, arriving well within the estimated timeframe. The process of designing the book through the Photos extension was occasionally clunky – though to be fair, this may have been affected by a Mac OS update mid-project. The templates lean more towards traditional wedding or travel albums, so creating something text-heavy (with messages and artwork) required a bit of workaround. That said, once I got into a rhythm, I managed to create layouts that worked really well. Where Milk falls a little short for me is in flexibility and value. Even with a discount, my 124-page satin hardcover book (Stone Linen cover) came to over $600 NZD including shipping. It’s a price that reflects heirloom-grade quality, but I wish there were easier options to create additional, lower-cost versions for sharing with family – without having to rebuild the entire project from scratch. In short, a stunning, premium product that delivers on quality, but I’d love to see more flexibility for customers who want to create both heirloom and gift-grade versions of their projects.
