BEAUTIFUL printed product...once I overcame the template hurdles.

The template system needs some tweaking. A change of a single image in a group of multiple placements, causes automated reordering/placement of all images on a page, instead of simple substitution of the one. This was a frustrating and time consuming experience. I eventually abandoned the MILK templates and created my own single page or full spread in Photoshop, whereby uploading a single "image" for the entire page or full spread (with many more photos than the template would have allowed). I was deliberate in searching for archival quality papers/inks when I discovered MILK Books. The finished product I received was superb quality and materials presentation, just beautiful. I look forward to future investments in print with MILK Books.

I took a long time deciding on which photo book printer to go with before designing my wedding album. I chose MILK because of the quality and ease of use on website and the fact they had a UK site. However went through the whole process and spec'd my book to their dimensions etc - went to order and was surprised at the extortionate cost of shipping. It came across as a UK site but cost 17.99 to ship the book and then the further worry of whether I was going to get charged customs charges on top of that too. I was too invested at this point so went ahead with the purchase anyway. The book arrived and I am so happy with the quality and binding. I would love to order more to build up a series however the shipping costs are likely to put me off from ordering again - shame because i think they are some of the best quality books out there.

Recently I made a wedding album for a client on Milk. I purchased the 11x13 size. The quality of the book felt a little above the average printer in a similar price range. I was pleased.
Book building software still is a little harder to use than some competitors but LIGHTYEARS better than their old system. I would definitely build a book with Milk again.
