I purchased a €180 discount voucher for a luxury photo book (106 pages). The only downside was that the voucher had a very short expiry date, which I unfortunately exceeded. Thankfully, customer service was helpful and extended it without any issues – a big plus! In the end, I created a larger book of almost 200 pages, which cost me an additional €140. Printing and shipping were fairly quick, which I appreciated. The surprise came when DHL charged me an extra €49 in import duties, which I hadn’t expected. That pushed the final cost close to €400 for a 200-page book. The quality of the book itself is beautiful, and we’re very happy with it. However, the short voucher validity and unexpected import fees did leave me feeling a bit rushed and caught off guard. All in all – a stunning, but very expensive, “photobook.”

Paper for the photobook is pretty thin. My photobook was about 80 pages and it was pretty thin... didn't look substantial.I created a Shutterfly photobook with premium, thick paper about a dozen years ago and the result was better quality... thicker paper, more accurate colors/printing. I'm surprised that there haven't been advances in over 12-13 years. I understand that thick paper is reserved for the photo albums, but those are insanely expensive. Apparently, you can get something of similar quality from Shutterfly for much less money.

There was a strange notation and the front of each book. ‘If this book is lost …. Reward’ It was not asked for and detracts from the front of the book.

We enjoyed the book making process. The website was user friendly, and the design was modern and stylish. When we received the book; however, we were not totally satisfied with the result. The hardcover and the fabric was great. However, the pages were wavy, akin to when a book gets wet then dries. We bought 3 books, and tried both the satin and matte paper styles. However both came out wavy, and the pages did not fall flat. This was disappointing, as these were the default finishes and paper weights. I think if this is the default choice, the paper weight should be heavier to ensure a flatter lay.

Overall, the product is good quality and the app is easy to use – designing the book was smooth and intuitive. However, I was very disappointed to discover only at the time of ordering that the product is manufactured and shipped from China. If I had known this earlier, I would have chosen a more local or at least European-based option. On top of that, I had to pay an unexpected €27 import fee in addition to the price shown during checkout. This lack of transparency is a real downside.
