Milestones

I was so excited to receive my album. The outside is beautiful. As soon as I opened it up to the first page, I noticed that the very first image was printed darker than the original image file, I estimate about 15% darker. All of the images appear darker in the album than on the computer or in other PRINTS I have made using the same files. The quality of the album is good but if the prints were not so dark, I would say it was excellent. If I had known that it would print the images this dark, I would have lightened them up before uploading them to the website. I see your response to my review mentions that pictures will look different on a monitor than in print. I have PRINTED these same pictures multiple times to frame, send to friends and also to put in albums, on calendars and thank you cards. This issue is very specific to the album that I purchased from you. As you recommended, I will send you pictures of the book.

I was a bit disappointed in the printing. Photos came out less vibrant than I’d hoped but maybe that was due to the paper stock. Otherwise a good experience.

Look, I like the book. It was for an anniversary though, and it was a little upsetting to see one of the photos was pixelated, even though on the website it fit perfectly and said there would be no pixelation. Aside from that, the photo book is nice.

Overall it’s fine, but the quality wasn’t to my expectation. The front page cover was printed sticker and whilst I used very high definition/quality photo, the printed work looked as if they were enlarged from my phone photos. I guess it’s still better than most of the average photo books.

Overall, I love my books. The product is great and the printing speed is quite reasonable. I'll continue to use them. So why the 3 starts? I'm docking two stars for these reasons: 1. If someone buys you a gift voucher it is distinctly NOT treated as a gift certificate/credit. You cannot buy your own voucher and use the value of what they got you and any other deals. This is annoying and feels like a cash grab. Also, why do the vouchers expire? I'm not even sure that's legal where I live. I'll note that I had an issue here and customer service was great and handled my issue quickly. 2. For this price, my book was $325, which puts it clearly into the premium category. For that price, I'd like a premium user experience to go along with it.. the software leaves a lot to be desired and I have to fight to make my book. I would make more of them but it is always a painful experience. 3. Lastly, the shipping cost is a bit much for me. On top of my $325 book, it's another $30 to ship. You only have one choice: DHL, which is fine but expensive. I don't need my book in 2 days especially after waiting for it to print. There are less expensive options and it would be nice to have those options.
