Milestones

We used Applebook in the past and Milk does not compare well. The options for adding notes to photos are much fewer, the quality of the pictures that appear in the Milkbook is not as good, the Applebook hard covers look like real book covers and do not look like a photo pasted on a hard cover, and photos can be on front and back covers. AppleBook also helped place together some photos that fitted well together. I was hoping that your system would enable you to do the same. Hope that MilkBook will soon also be able to offer the same services.

I wasn’t overly surprised with the quality.. for the price it was not what I had anticipated. My order also didn’t have the side notes I had put on the binding and shipping took forever. Honestly a little bummed.

As a professional photographer, I was hoping MILK Books would better produce a large wedding album for a client than some other printers. Shipping was significantly longer than I expected until I realized it's printed and shipped from China. It did arrive by the estimated due date though. The cover was decent enough quality, but I was very disappointed with color quality in the images. The only images that seemed "ok" were the ones that were taken outside. Most of the images were significantly darker in this book than they are in any other format, including from other printers. For the price, I would expect a much higher quality job. I doubt I'll return to this company.

Perhaps I wasn't using the tools properly, but I couldn't figure out how much it was going to cost me until I had put the book together and it turned out to be way more expensive than I expected at which stage I couldn't be bothered starting again or trying to figure out how to make it less expensive. I'd put together 3 books some years ago that were about 1/3 of the price of this one. Apart from that, the quality is fantastic and the finished result was great.

This is a fairly good design and production. I would however, not use them again as they are based in Hong Kong and given they use DHL, despite paying a really significant amount for shipping and express delivery, my book has taken along time to arrive, in fact it has still not arrived and every day I honk it will arrive it gets pushed into the net day. I think this is down to the shipping with DHL, but still I think Milk are accountable for the quality of logistics company they use.
