Milestones

I was very much looking forward to receiving our photobook as the images online looked great. Unfortunately, when I received it, I found the colour of the linen different to what I was expecting, the photo on the front of the album was poorly stuck down, and the colours of the photos printed within the album were not true to the original images. Other than that, it is still nice to have our images printed, however I would not purchase another photobook through Milk.

Milk albums appear to be the preferred company for Apple these days. The standard isn’t what it was when Apple were printing “in house”. Paper quality was lower than I would have hoped for. Very expensive too. I was totally ripped off by the exchange rate. Will look for another company to print my photo albums in future.

This book was marketed and charged as a premium product. Respectfully I thought the product was of only average quality. I have ordered quite a few photobooks in the past and I don't think that Milk represents very good value.

I was a little disappointed with the quality of the images and how the cover photo sits. I paid €60 inc shipping for the book and expected a lot more. Was there image quality control during the design phases of the book? It can be done a lot better and far off Apple’s standards.

Printing looks decent and the fabric cover is nice, but assembly is poor and the book feels very flimsy. I had a gray background on all my pages and I can see a white line by the gutter so the book wasn't bound properly. After contacting MILK they said the white line is not big enough to qualify for a reprint and only offered me 50% off a future purchase. I don't want to order anything else from them, even at a discount if my money is basically going to go to waste. Other print on demand services would have reprinted this for me without hesitation.
