Awful software and big shipping charges

I haven’t received my book yet, but I’m so unhappy with the process so far I feel compelled to write a review.
The technology is shockingly bad. Text formatting, inserting, moving and increasing text boxes is not possible. The picture structure options are very limited and the whole way the system works together is archaic. I don’t want to watch several video tutorials to understand how this kind of system works, it should be intuitive like all the others.
After spending an incredibly frustrating few hours putting my book together, I then found out there’s only one option to ship... and it costs £18! Apparently the book comes all the way from Hong Kong...

I am so sad I used MILK Books for my wedding album. I have to admit I fell in love with their beautiful website and their story. DON’T BELIEVE IT.
The website is not user friendly. There was no quality control in the final product. Even tho I did not receive any “warnings” when reviewing before printing, the book arrived with several blurry images. Of course customer service blamed the quality of my professional photographs and disclaimed any responsibility. What a huge waste of money. And what a HUGE disappointment.

I would never use milk books again. It is not used friendly, the layouts were very limited and text formatting was non existant. I only persisted with it because I had a $100 gift certificate to use. Also turned out that I couldn't use a discount code and my gift certificate at the same time so that was also disappointing. Shutterfly is WAY better, much more user friendly, and the final product was higher quality for a lower price.

I ordered a wedding album with MILK Books and was charged TWICE for the product. One charge cleared fully, whereas the other was a "pending charge" with my bank until the order was delivered to my home. This was never made clear at checkout or in the FAQ, and when I called customer service I was told this was "standard." Never in my life have I seen something like THAT be standard. Be careful ordering from here unless you can comfortably part with DOUBLE the cost of your order. Very shady, and to be honest, the quality of the product didn't blow me away enough to make that even remotely acceptable. Never will use MILK Books again.
Import tax beware

Book had different appearance to how I ordered it. Was emailed to say the design was changing over after a certain date, ordered mine before then and still got new design not old. No clear warning about import tax. Had to pay another £30 on top of a £100 purchase and £20 postage. Would not have ordered if I had know this. Book is generally good quality photos and as I designed.
