Amélie & Victor
Storyteller: Amélie Reynes, France
There’s a certain kind of love story that feels effortless from the very beginning - the kind that unfolds naturally, quietly, and with a sense of certainty. For Amélie and Victor, that story began in a small Parisian bistro and continued all the way to the South of France, where they celebrated their wedding surrounded by light, laughter, and the people they cherish most. Amélie shared with us her stories about the moments that shaped their milestone wedding day, the photos that hold the most meaning, and the stunning MILK keepsake that now carries their story forward.
When did your love story begin?
Our love story began seven years ago in Paris, in a little, typically Parisian bistro. It was love at first sight, the kind of spark that feels both unexpected and obvious. Everything felt easy, natural, and exactly right.
How would you describe the style of your wedding?
Our wedding was authentic and heartfelt, surrounded by the people we love most. We chose to celebrate in the South of France, where Amélie grew up, a place filled with light, character, and an effortless sense of charm. We paid attention to the little details, but kept everything simple, spontaneous, and full of life. It was passionate, fun, and deeply convivial. A true celebration of love and togetherness.
What was the best moment of your wedding day?
It was the moment we arrived at the town hall. We walked in hand in hand, surrounded by our closest family and friends, the sun shining, sunglasses on, and this incredible feeling of being exactly where we were meant to be. But what made it unforgettable was the energy waiting for us. Our guests were all in… truly. Seeing them so happy, so proud, so genuinely excited for us… it filled the whole moment with something almost electric. We felt lucky, celebrated, and deeply loved. There was this quiet confidence in the air, this joy that felt both effortless and overwhelming. It was the moment we thought, “Yes… today is going to be unforgettable.” It was simple, powerful, and full of heart, a moment we’ll carry forever.
What is the best photo from your wedding day?
We actually have two. The first one is taken in front of beautiful pink oleanders, an image that feels completely timeless. There’s something about the light, the colors, and the calm energy around us that makes it feel almost suspended in time. We absolutely love the vibe it gives off.
The second one was taken while we were getting changed for the evening. Our photographer followed us into the room and captured us on the bed, with an open bottle of champagne and glasses in our hands — laughing, relaxed, completely ourselves. It was one of those precious pauses in the middle of all the excitement, a moment just for us in the beautiful frenzy of the day. It’s intimate in the simplest, most genuine way, and it’s the photo we chose for our thank-you cards because it reflects us exactly as we are.
What format did you choose for your wedding keepsake, and why did you choose it?
We chose a Large Portrait Premium Photo Book because we wanted something that felt classic yet modern, a piece we could proudly keep on display. The format gives each photo room to breathe, letting the emotions and details of the day truly stand out.
What is the best story or memory you have behind a single shot in your keepsake?
It’s impossible to pick just one — two photos tell the story of our wedding in very different ways. The first one was taken at the Musée Goya, right next to the town hall. We had planned to shoot in the gardens, but it was way too hot, and the light wasn’t right. So, we changed plans, completely, and ended up at the museum instead. The team there was amazing; it was the first time they’d ever had newlyweds come for photos, so they gave us a private visit and full access to the space. Walking through the rooms, surrounded by art and silence, felt like stepping out of time. That picture captures the calm, intimate side of the day, just the two of us before everything sped up again.
The second photo is the complete opposite, full of movement, joy, and pure energy. It shows us running hand in hand through the tables, surrounded by our guests, everyone laughing and cheering. That image feels like the essence of our wedding: spontaneous, joyful, completely alive. It’s everything we wanted the day to be - love, connection, and the feeling that life was bursting all around us.
What does your wedding keepsake mean to your loved ones?
To us, our wedding keepsake is like holding a piece of that day in our hands. It brings back all the emotions, and each page takes us back to the energy, the warmth, and all the tiny details that made it so special. It’s a book we truly cherish, one that will stay with us through every chapter of our lives. We even bought white cotton gloves to turn the pages, that’s how precious it feels to us.
What inspired you to preserve your wedding photos in a physical keepsake?
We wanted to keep these photos in a physical keepsake because they capture the essence of our day - the emotions, the energy, and all the little moments in between. Having them in a photo book makes it feel more tangible, something we can hold, share, and relive again and again.
What bit of advice would you offer to someone creating their own wedding memento?
Take your time and let your emotions guide you. Choose the photos that truly capture how the day felt, not just how it looked. Your MILK book will become more than a photo album; it’s a piece of your story you’ll treasure forever.
Amélie and Victor’s wedding was a celebration of everything they value - connection, spontaneity, and the simple joy of being surrounded by those who love them most. Their beautiful MILK Photo Book now holds the spirit of that day, page by page, preserving both the quiet pauses and the electric, joy-filled moments. It’s a reminder of where their story began and it’s a treasure they’ll carry with them as the chapters continue to unfold during their marriage.
