Before you start creating, select the Medium (or Large) Portrait orientation of our Premium Photo Books in the product picker. Then, look for the Ivory Linen fabric and ensure this is selected, or leave this and your cover design choice for the next steps. Ensure you have at between 100 – 160 pages for your page number if you’d like to stay authentic to the original ‘Italy Photo Book’ design. Then you can ‘Start creating’ and enter our Design Studio.

3. Choosing the cover layout

When you enter the MILK Design Studio, select the Designer Cover option and find the Italy preset.

• Two text boxes positioned in the top third of the cover

• A large title box on top

• A smaller subtitle box below

This layout mirrors the proportions and balance of the original book.

4. Selecting the cover fabric

To match the exact book, choose our Ivory Linen fabric.

Its linen cover introduces gentle warmth, complemented by tonal typography that keeps the design refined and modern. Please note, depending on your screen’s resolution, the shade may look slightly different in the Design Studio to how it appears in print.

Alternatively, you can choose a Black Buckram or even Black Vegan Leather for a darker version of the same style.

5. Typography and title styling

While the viral ‘Italy Book’ is known for its stunning cover, the interior design plays just as important a role in its appeal. Here are some ways to bring that same effortless style to your pages. Select images that work harmoniously together. A blend of landscapes, architectural details, candid moments, and textures will give your story depth and visual rhythm.

Use a mix of layout styles:

• Full-bleed spreads for sweeping views of coastlines, vineyards, and piazzas

• Minimalistic pages with generous white space for atmospheric detail shots

• Chapter dividers for regions: Rome, Venice, Florence, Amalfi Coast, Puglia

The goal is to create a book that feels curated rather than crowded.

8. Stick to a cohesive palette
