Tegan Cooper: A Wedding Weekend

"The best time of my life"

Bride and groom smiling and embracing

What was the best part of your special day?

I don’t think I can really pin point one single moment as being the best, the whole wedding was without a doubt the best time of my life. We made our wedding a “wedding weekend”, we started on the Friday setting up the venue and invited all of our guests to stay Friday & Saturday night if they chose to. I absolutely loved spending time with lots of our friends and family on the Friday night and it really made the wedding day so much fun to be able to take it all in without rushing to see people. If I really had to choose the best moment I would say our first dance, it was such a special time for John and I but also important to us was to have our loved ones joining in, it made me stop and realise how lucky we are and it was just a really FUN moment!

Bit of a background: We got married on October 20, 2018 at a place called Coonawarra Farm Resort, Johns family grew up heading there for weekends, it is a relaxed venue with beautiful scenery, cabins to sleep in and set the scene for our wedding weekend and was just perfect for us. On our wedding day it poured rain but that didn’t dampen our spirits one bit, we were all drenched and had the most amazing time.. I think the rain helped everyone to relax and embrace the day, it could not have been more perfect!

What is your favorite image from your wedding and why?

I absolutely love the image one page one, we are walking back through all our favourite people and it’s just such an “in the moment” image. It brings back all of the joy and happiness from that moment, we have just been officially married and now it’s time for the celebrations! It’s pouring rain, my hair and dress are both drenched, John's loving all eyes on him and we are really lapping it up about to begin the most epic of celebrations!

What is your favorite story behind a single shot in the book?

I really love the image (above) of my dad and I. I had just given him a tie that had the words “Dad, the first man I ever loved. Love Tige xx” embroidered on it and it was so special to see how much that meant to him. He wore it on the day and it’s such a nice memory to have captured.

What do photos mean to you?

I think looking back on photos after such a special time in your life is pretty spectacular. It brings back all the memories you have of those specific moments and some moments you may not have even seen but they’ve been captured and you can feel the emotion with out even being there.

Tell your love story with us.
